With an ambition to renovate and upgrade an abandoned house in Portugal, I acquired a traditional house in the Alto Minho region of northern Portugal. Built in 1950, the building had been extended and reroofed since, but had been left neglected and unoccupied for several years.
The main part of the project is the conversion of the ground floor, previously used as storage to living areas for a growing family.
